Exhibition of the Hungarian animation painter will be held in London
The exhibition opens in the British capital is one of the most talented, but for a long time unfairly neglected Hungarian painter, animation director of 20th century, Gyorgy Kovásznai. The artist animated films thoroughly subverted the genre, he painted and draw under the camera, frame by frame what gave inimitable characteristic specific to his films. His first painting film was the Metamorphoses (1964), followed by the full-length animated creations the Bubble Bath (1979), which neither the public, not the contemporary artists were not accepted too keen. Few years ago the National Gallery presented his life's work in a large-scale exhibition, and the artist finally got the attention due to it.
The visitors now can see Gyorgy Kovásznai works in London, the exhibition will be on display at Somerset House from 3th of March to two months.
