Interyou: meet the 10 year old Zumba® instructor who makes the world dance
How did you experience your first performance in the Zumba® Convention?
First I was surprised, that I was chosen, because it’s very uncommon to be one of the only five children in the world, who can to perform there. I’ve met Beto before in Prague, and he was the one who introduced me on the stage. I’m very proud that he included me in the program.
What was your best experience in Orlando?
Meeting Beto and getting to know more instructors, Liana Veda among them, who taught us a new choreography – but all of it was a great experience.
Why did you start to do Zumba®?
When I was little, I loved music and dancing. My mother used to go to Zumba class and one time she asked me if I wanted to go with her – I said, of course. There she saw that I’m talented in dancing and since then I’ve been going to classes with her.
What do you like about Zumba®?
Mostly that it’s a mix of different dance-styles – Latin-American, Salsa, Samba, Bachata – and I like these. Salsa is my favorite.
How was your first performance at the Happy Birthday Beto Zumba festival in Hungary?
I was very happy, to be part of it, and I liked that there were groups and more Zumba instructors on stage at the same time, not just one.
Now that you’ve danced in front of 7000 people in Orlando, how will it be to teach Zumba® to a class of 25 people?
25 is enough for me – the bigger crowd made me more nervous, but when the music started and I saw them, I felt my heart beating and I know it was going to be all right, I could dance.
What do you think would make more children do Zumba®?
I think it would be important to teach the correct steps for those, who like dancing and music – first I didn’t know how to do it but than my mother taught me. I’m also very grateful for my father to support me in this. And those, who already tried Zumba, should just keep doing it, they will be better and have success!
