Referendum - Lazar: Brussels wants to 'organise' migration, not to stop it
Brussels wants to take away the right from Hungarians to decide who should settle in the country, Lazar said.
Whoever thinks responsibly about their home and family must take part in the vote, he added.
"The country will not be better off if migrants come here," he said. "They will cause problems that we wouldn't be able to handle financially, socially or from a security aspect," he added.
Citing an Austrian study suggesting that standards of living would fall if a large number of migrants had to be taken care of, Lazar said that fears on the part of many Hungarians were not unfounded.
