VOLT Festival is the best medium sized festival in Europe
The Sziget Cultural Management achieved a huge success in the biggest race of International Festival profession: on the European Festival Awards ceremony called the organizers to the stage in two categories. The "Best Medium-Sized Festival ", i.e., the mid-size category festivals of Europe's best festivals in 2015 became the Telekom VOLT Festival.
The prize took over the two founders, Zoltán Fülöp and Norbert Lobenwein, who said that this huge recognition is the fruit of a consistent, continuous-roots work.
"We are delighted that this award is confirmed at the international level to" Everywhere is good, but the best in Sopron "- said the main organizers.
The Sziget also starred in three categories this year, among the best, and had returned home victorious from the tournament for the third time: now the program offers certification "Best Line Up \" category brought in the first place.
"We have always endeavoured to offer the program to be so diverse that everybody can find something for everyone. Obviously, there are festivals that can afford to act even more bigger names, but it seems that this time the diversity of the profession rated "- said Gerendai, who followed the gala this year as well from home because of the superstition.
The current success of VOLT Festival, each program of the Sziget Cultural Management won the prize of their category on the European Festival Awards.
The Sziget brought at first time in 2011 to the "grand prize ", that the biggest festival first prize, the Balaton Sound was the best in the mid-size category in 2012, made its debut in 2013 the B My Lake Festival was the winner in the “Best New Festival” category and in 2014 the Sziget became again the best big festival on the continent.
On Wednesday late at night, in Groningen in the Netherlands it was announced in the 2015 competition year's best European festivals caller European Festival Awards winners.
Sopron was the Best Medium-Sized Festival that won first place in the category of medium-sized festivals. Congratulations!
